About Me

My name is Michon and I'm a self proclaimed nutrition nerd. I love the science of nutrition. I am a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified Coach and I have earned the credential of Three Pillars Method® Coach.

 

I've been married over 30 years to my husband Mike and I have three adult daughters. I'm an enthusiastic but messy cook, an avid weightlifter, and I have love/hate relationship with running.

I've always been active but didn't pay much attention to what I ate other than to lose some pretty significant pregnancy pounds. Even then, I'm not proud of my sporadic diet of Lean Cuisines and Slim Fast Shakes.  

 

Quality of diet was not on my radar until one of my daughters collapsed at her cross country meet when she was 13. Health issues were ruled out but she needed better nutrition to fuel her rapid growth and athletics. I started learning how to feed my family and myself better.

I know firsthand how much confusing nutrition information is out there.

What really matters is the quality, protein, and calories you eat. These are the Three Pillars. The rest is just noise.

I've applied this simple approach to my own diet. I've gained muscle and reduced body fat. I recover better from workouts and I just plain feel better.  â€‹

I love to cook and adapt my favorite recipes to help me reach my Three Pillars targets. I've made some epic fails but most of my attemps are successful and I love to share them.
